I saw an anon on /v/ post a thread screencap where the OP insinuated that the entire TES lore was based around the dichotomy of Akatosh and Lorkhan being two personalities of one being.

The concept is neat and all, but I have been unable to find anything that actually states as much. Akatosh is Auri-El and has many champions and even avatars. The same is true of Lorkhan, who himself has many names... and yes, Men and Mer do fight consistently through history.

But does anything actually state that Lorkhan is directly connected or IS a part of Akatosh, that they are one in the same? Or did that anon just make a huge assumptious leap?

That's bullshit, but it is a major element. The Enantiomorph (two beings that are like reflections, reversed images, of each other being halves of the same being, going back to Anu/Padomay) is one of like five or six concepts that repeat throughout the setting's mythology, making it very important.

Akatosh being the soul and Lorkhan being the body and the two becoming reflections of each other as Anu and Padomay are after the Shattering of Lorkhan is not stated explicitly in many places (obviously, since in-setting people generally don't realise this and think on the more simple and mortal level where they appear to be two distinct beings who are enemies in most cultures' myths and allies in a few (imperial, nordic, possibly dunmer)) but is outright stated in Yokudan/Redguard lore, and even ignoring that is still a STRONG theory supported by many things throughout the lore and all but confirmed outright in C0DA (a possible-future scenario set many centuries or possibly even millennia after the games).

The idea is that Akatosh and Lorkhan were one being (in one text Kirkbride calls them Aka-Tusk, and the Yokudans called this being Satakal) who was the greatest child of Anu and spearheaded Anu's children's campaign to rebuild their dead mother, Nir, creating the new planet of Nirn (the gods are also planets). But Padomay somehow got into the new universe Anu had created through dreaming, and sent his spirit, Sithis, to entice Aka-Tusk. He led the part that would become Lorkhan, basically the id, astray, and taught it to be self-conscious and take control of the ego, CHIM. Because Lorkhan was already a god, he couldn't benefit from this or move to the step beyond and become a dreamer himself, so he sought to turn Nirn into a world that would support mortals capable of developing this sense of ego into an invaluable tool and multiplying as deities, which required a sacrifice on the part of his brethren and himself.

This separation of Akatosh from Lorkhan crystallised time (Akatosh) and space (Lorkhan) as concepts, and time as mortals understand it began at that moment, the Shattering of Lorkhan.

So I cant figure out where else to post this but im new to moding skyrim and have been following this guide: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/56894/? as its the only one ive found since tesgeneral is shit at showing how to actually mod skyrim.

My problem is that Ive reached the Wyre Bash stage and for some strange godforsaken reason it has stopped recognizing my Skyrim install path. Ive have sat for 2 hours trying everything I can think to get it working and it just won't. Incidentally, it just released version 306 earlier, I had been using the beta version. Only using the installer as thats all I can find to download.

Do you gentlemen have any idea of what I can try to get it working?

Nnnoope that's my point entirely. Just look at the Nexus, Arthmoor released a combined version of USKP that serves no real purpose except to fuck up peoples' games and it's gotten over 200 endorsements in under 24 hours. People still love him even though he says shitty things.

In Barfmore's case, it's rather that he produces things people NEED. At least one thing, that is. His more creative mods don't do nearly as well as the patches do. Arthmope hangs out on the official forums and Reddit mostly, the reason being that he doesn't get hammered there like he would in places less strictly policed.

People find the fat man too useful to reject, otherwise he'd be in the same position Giskard's in, but he's hardly respected.

Trainwiz doesn't have anything in his history that wouldn't still get overlooked even if he wasn't one of the best modders.
