I've been playing Makoto a lot recently. I actually feel like she's priming me for SFV: every normal has a purpose, and none is right for every situation, like some other characters who have one or two normals that completely supersede all others. SFV also has bad walk speeds and fast dashes compared to most of the SF4 cast.

Admittedly there's something interesting about the way the segmented d-pad highlights corners but DS3 also has the analog triggers being a nuisance and the left stick slightly in the way why is why PSX digital controller is master race Actually every generation of Playstation controller has different d-pad resistance which makes it an interesting preference issue.

Mid '90s art direction onwards is kinda ugly, that was anime "bug eyes" and it's strongest power level, and character designs had an odd leanness to them. Yoshiyuki Sadamoto in particular had bubbly, realistic body types that varied in size and roundness from his work on Royal Space Force and Gunbuster, then Evangelion came out with these rugged, pointy and lanky postures that all basically look the same. (This is a rare example of something that was eventually fixed in the Rebuild films)

Say what you will about modern anime character designs lacking definition, but I think that era had some pretty repulsive work.

Honestly his Ken is solid but nothing godly. He has solid execution and has mastered buffering his super from everything. His Makoto was decent but nothing special. I could tell that during the later matches you got flustered really easily. You should calm down and not try to rush in because there were moments in which you would have won if you had calmed down. Try to relax, sit back and analyze what you could do to help calm yourself during a set. Other than that though you played really solid and did very well. You are improving and that's worth something.
