I wouldn't mind it if leveling was slower if they just took away the walls like this, it doesn't feel good to have to go to zones 10 levels higher than you all the time. Hopefully it gets better on release, I wouldn't even mind if the overall pace of leveling was slower as long as there were more zones to level in to make it more consistent.

C1 linker is a nice complement at least for all the other ranks, you will be using join penalty and hangman's knot all the time. But physical link...you really dont want to share damage with classes that dont have much hp..and I believe it even stop you casting when someone else gets hit.

It entirely depends on who gets the buff. The problem with Stigma is that it's not very reliable (did that pillar trap just RESIST???) and in boss fights it can be a pain to set it up. Duration isn't long enough for 100% uptime either.

in my experience, str doesn't start factoring later. for now, crits + hitting strike/slash/pierce weaknesses will have you two shotting everything with AAs. as it is, strength is merely an incremental addition to your attack damage while crits are an exponential increase

people say it is a meme but wiz autoattacks are shit damage to begin with and they get most of your int scaling and spr is a great wiz stat. you might get 100 more damage from your int when you could have 1000 more sp and 60 sp/5sec at a bonfire instead

It starts to get fun at ele1 since damage output jumps, I was going full SPR or 1:1 INTSPR when I didn't have the arde dagger yet. Right now I'm at some random Con/Int/Spr combination (66/153/83).

Ele2 is where you're gonna be casting everything with quick cast and it's very satisfying to cycle through spells.

I see the levels as being open ended, a way to keep progressing slowly over time. Getting to your class level cap is 'the level cap', the character level cap is to let you grind more str/int or something

You're missing the point. Which is there isn't much content.

There is 1 map per 3 levels on average. Due to how the game works, you cannot visit maps too high above or below your level. So effectively based on your level you are locked into around 15ish maps (realistically it's more like 4-5 because maps too high are too hard and maps too low aren't worth it).
This means there is no exploration, there is no variety, everyone just follows the same route and does the same thing, regardless of class or build.

What I am suggesting is they lower the level cap, then compress the game down. This would mean there is always 3 maps for your level to visit. And probably a good 20-30 in your level range.
This would mean you have stuff to explore, it would mean there is variety, it would mean different people with different classes and builds would follow different routes through the game.

What I'm suggesting has nothing to do with how long it takes to grind, it's purely with how little there is to do in the game at any given level.

Every time I've fought him, and I keep logging out to reset it, I'll be able to damage him with zaibas and hex and effigy until about 1/5th of his health, and then after that zaibas, deprotected zone, and everything but hex and effigy stop working on him. So then I have used hex and effigy to bring him down to about half his health, and then hex stops working. So the only thing I am able to hurt or affect him with once he is down to half health is autoattack.

This is complete bullshit, I don't know why this is happening.

It's make more sense to add stuff past the maximum level. Because of how the game works, if most people are level 200, and they add a whole bunch of new stuff at level 100, those players will never get to experience the new content because it's pointless for them to do it.

It'd make more sense to have the base game have tons of content, then when a major update is released, increase the level cap from 200 to 250 and make all the new areas between levels 200-250. That way everyone can experience the new stuff, and not only new players.
