You need a proper attacker in there. At the very least, you need to get rid of Kaidormu. Hope for VBird or Khirel if your luck is insane. You can keep Aslan there to act as a totem and try to load her with as many Reflex stones as possible.

Lucius can be good for PvE if you can get him some health on attack/crit stones + WoM for sustain I think.
Really that's all a good pve attacker needs is sustain and a way to keep atb up to keep attacking. He has superplay and good stone slots to make this possible, and his utility will help you deal with active blocks from the gk.
As for pvp, an attacker is not necessary like all these fucks claim it is. That entirely depends on what you have access to in terms of units.

What would increase my damage most out of these stones to get over that hump?

I would just finish upgrading them, but I don't have a lot of gold right now.
