wiz 3 is okay if you have sleep and magic missile (my magic missile attribute is at level 20) and quick cast +50% damage.

Magic Missile bounces off of sleeping mobs, and if you do it right you can kill 5 or 6 mobs on average with one Sleep and one Magic Missile.

Quick Cast with the attribute is godly on Magic Missile. It's amazing burst that cools down in about 20 seconds, but bosses can be very difficult as Magic Missile has a short range, can home in on traps or hit absolutely nothing.

wiz 2 is fucking trash and no one should get it if they don't go wiz 3.

I don't know what the deal is with Thaumaturge, maybe you should ask around more. if you ask me, I think Linkers could more naturally go Thaumaturge than Wizard.

Consider the following:

Maximum level is reduced from 600 (supposed) to 100. All of the current maps (like 200+ of them) are changed so that regardless of your level there will always be 2-3 maps of your level to go and grind on plus several others slightly above and below your level.

At this point in time, I'm thinking 600 levels was just a mistake. The stat system is broken, the scaling is retarded and the content they have is so thinly spread I'm not seeing the logic in having so many levels.

You think it's broken because practically no work has been done for anything that far ahead. 600 levels can work, when they actually polish shit and tweak what needs tweaking. They don't need to do anything to the number of maps, they need to add more side objectives in the future to reduce linearity and tweak the respawn timers plus mob density in general for several maps. Not every map, just so that grind spots are less scattered.

They already said they wanted a greater element of exploration, so they should get to work on that but only after the mob issues are addressed for each map. Chances are most of the maps in the game are incredibly bare after 250

The problem is, there is about 200 maps and 600 levels.

This is 1 map per 3 levels. Given that each of these has about 15 quests, you're essentially forced to go through them all. It's going to be linear no matter what you do, and the only way to change this is to add more maps.

Unless there is a map or two for every level in the game (so 600-1200) and these have ample quests each, you're always going to end up with a linear experience because there simply isn't enough content to make some of it optional.

There is 1 map per 3 levels, with a few exceptions. This allows for very little actual exploration because there is one map per 3 fucking levels. Regardless of your class or build, your route through the game will never change because there simply is not enough maps to take an alternate route (there is in fact no maps to take an alternate route).

If there was 3 maps per level for example, you might never visit 2 of them on a character because the map you're on currently is just the best for your class/build. If you ask me, this is clearly the better option, but to achieve this they either need to triple the number of maps in game at a minimum, or compact the game by reducing the level cap.

You deal less damage to higher level enemies, regardless of stats. At a certain point, you'll effectively only ever deal 1 damage to enemies.

You could be level 1 with 9999999 attack damage, but still deal 1 damage to a level 100 enemy because that is how the game is designed. (Meanwhile, a level 100 player with 20 attack would be doing more damage to a level 100 enemy)

I said the same thing in this thread a couple days ago.

Now I am 164 with no cards on me. Demon Prison monsters have like a 40% EXP penalty for being much lower than I am, there are no good dungeons to do, and no good places to mob or grind at this level range.

It's actually faster to make a new character and get to the good spot, while using the card tricks, than to get out of this stump. Which is what I am doing since I had also made a shit character with all C1s.

We technically are. But Koreans use to get daily exp events that gave them huge amounts of exp so they never really had to grind.

It took Koreans a week of some what casual playing to hit the level cap. The only people we have to hit the level cap played 20+ hours a day for almost 10 days.
That's quiet a big difference provided we have the same client as them, don't you think?

It's not as bad as it looks. It does a lottle of everything and it all works, but it's not worth continuing.

Using 1H Spear and Dagger, I can use all the skills. I just have to mount and unmount a little, but it's no problem.

Corsair gives me some utility in parties, specially with Jolly Roger. Cataphract gives me mobility to get to places quick and efficiently, Highlander's Stroke lets me kill bosses faster, and Hoplite gives Crit and a couple of damage skills which I was lacking.

I couldn't have gotten all that far if it were shit.

The only thing I wish I could go back for is replacing Corsair with Cataphract.

You're lucky we're telling you this. You can save every exp card you get from now until level 160 or so and skip all the shitty areas. 30 levels of grinding might seem harsh, but it's much better than the alternatives.

Archer class has been pretty fun. Just wanted to ask 2 questions:

If they were to squeeze the levels down to 100 that'd mean the current content we have would be for roughly 30 levels. Even with KCBT rates that would mean long as fuck levelup times. I do like the idea that there would be more viable areas per level but it wouldn't necessarily be all that different. They'd also have to keep the rate you gain class xp or you wouldn't have time to rank up nearly as many times.

I think the levels aren't the issue. It's the emptiness of some areas (in monsters and quests), scaling, balance and how mind blowingly boring the grind can be in this game.

Just remember. The Korean exp rates also effect card exp while ours do not. We effectively have like 3-5x exp from mobs, and 1x from cards. While Koreans have 3-5x exp from everything.

To put that into perspective. If you've managed to hit about level 155-160 in iCBT2, that is the equivalent of hitting level 200 in the Korean beta.

This and exp events are the reason Koreans are saying levelling is too fast.

I was already 77 when I started doing mausoleum. Secret is just grinding near tenets chapel till 40, 40~60 either floor 2 of chapel or when you hit 50 do the dungeon outside. That should hit you to 60 easy then if you do grind the constructor chapel is good from 65+ but because everybody knows this since somebody posted a guide, it's only good with a party.

ORRR skip that and do what I did. Grinded 40~60 chapel 2, used ALL the exp pots I saved to hit 65ish then used all the exp pot 3 you get from the quest till you hit Tiltas valley then do Gytis and Baron and use the pots you get there. That effectively got me to 73~74ish then do Rukas to Mausoleum maps and when you hit Mausoleum, you're going to be probably 77. After that I just did till the 3rd floor of the place then finished the other farm maps outside Klaipeda and I ended at 93. 93~97 I did Steele road then went back to finish the 4th and 5th floor of Mausoleum and did 5 runs of the 90 dungeon to 104 where I ended up with the ardent dagger. Granted I'll be using all my exp pots till I start getting exp 6 or 7 then I'll do the prison gridn till 140 if everything goes smoothly.

Its a single hit attack and knocks enemies away. Stabbing, Pierce, and Finestra are all really good skills and maxing them doesn't leave you with points for Long Stride. 1 Point needs to be taken from Stabbing/Pierce for Spear Lunge debuff though.

I keep 1 point in it because I get +2 to skills from my spear, but come launch I probably wouldn't.

It's pretty slow and has an absurd cooldown. Knocks back enemies but also locks you in place for a bit on landing so by the time you close the distance to the enemy again they've gotten back up.
