BM ties into Evilcraft, in fact, evilcraft is an interesting way to get life essence (and life essence is a pretty painless way to power evilcraft machines)

BM isn't quite as polished/flashy as thaumcraft, and def isn't as intrusive worldgenwise, and it can provide you some lategame powers thaumcraft can (BM is much better at doing huge area/world changing things last I played)

BM might feel like complete shit to play if you don't figure out how to automate the blood altar, though. You will have to figure out how to keep 1 or a few items in it at a time while keeping it full of life essence. There's various ways to do this, but just a warning if you aren't very automation savvy, it can get tedious at first.

There are some... Ideas in play that could work. I really do like the aesthetics of the multiblocks. and the biodiesel engine is really neat.

The late game however is garbage, the arc furnace is just something incomprehensibly expensive for what amounts to a really fast smelter.

Back to working on bombs again, they need a bit more tweaking but they're coming out swell.

forgeChunkLoading.cfg defines the chunkloader-specific limit, go look at it. As for natural loading, as far as your Minecraft instance's view-distance allowed (server-side for servers, only dependant on your rendering/CPU power in singleplayer - FastCraft lets you raise it up to 256 chunks' viewdistance, but you'll need a NASA machine to run that)
