Ammo IS a problem. You're relying on a heavy weapon in a situation where you may or may not get drops, or even have a chance to use a synth. ToM is preferred because of infinite ammo.

On top of that, you're potentially wasting your primary slot if you don't have anything good enough to clear up adds with.

It's more effort than it's worth to replace a more reliable weapon with something that, while great to use, is not so reliable.

Ammo ISN'T a problem. Almost every boss has you standing around doing nothing while you wait for a deadly global effect to wear off at some point, it's very easy to use synths in this raid.

On top of that, who doesn't have a good primary to clear shitty little adds?

Having the ability to clutch kill important things, always having the highest damage and being able to stagger oryx by yourself, if necessary, is worth the effort.

Fucking why. I get they want to market it as a new piece of content in coming DLCs, but it was such a waste of potential. We only have two launchers from Crux/Lomar, TLW and Chappie from Tex, Invective from Cassoid, Jade Rabbit from Daito, and we only even know Nadir exists due to an emblem.

Though, to be fair, they may have wanted to build a brand for the foundries we have now for the players before adding more, but that's not a particularly strong excuse.

I really wish I had recorded it, but this was honestly to coolest thing to happen in a match.

I was doing rumble with a few friends to try and grind for TLW step of Jolly Holliday, when we got matchmade with another fireteam of three. All of them were using Imprecation. Immediately knew what that meant. All of us ran into the middle of the map (we were playing on Pantheon), and right away no one is actually shooting each other. We bust a move or two, before I say to one of my friends, "Hey, send one of them a message, I'll unequip TLW and they can farm all of us for kills to go even faster."

Message is sent, all of them are super happy about us helping them. Got at least one message from all of them saying "Thanks for helping, this gun sucks." :P

After a good round of run to the middle, get shot to death, respawn, and run back, one of them sent a message back saying "We're all done, you need any kills too?" Told them I need TLW kills, and they were happy to do it again. I was at around 16% when we started, and was really starting to think this was going to be hours of fucking around, completed it in about a minute. :D

This is honestly one of my favorite player interactions I've had in Destiny, and pretty much any video game I've played, I really just had to share!
