You CAN solo, it isn't impossible but I keep hearing it's much faster to grind dungeons. Personally I liked the story enough to just follow the quest lines till I hit 65. 60-65 is a cakewalk btw, like an afternoons worth of work. Also it's very much worth it imo, the combat is great most times, unless you are lagging like crazy. I can't go back to other mmo's now, I've been spoiled by Tera too long now. Getting in a guild would help with things leveling, but more so at endgame!

The new stuff is coming out in around two months, I think.
The current gen gear is pretty decent and will be good enough for most classes even next patch. Whether it's worth the time or not really depends on how much you enjoy the game. TSHM isn't too hard but it can be somewhat annoying if RNG decides to fuck you.

If you're a healer, you might want to just get some okay-ish gear and wait for next patch, vm6 is clearly superior to anything currently out for healers.
