I guess this is the right place to ask. Playing Vermintide's been making me want to replay Mark of Chaos, but for some reason I can't open the game after installing it off the disk.

Anyone had this problem by any chance, or know a way to fix this?

This game runs primarily on lua. This also means all weapon/item info is stored in lua. Modify the lua and you can do fun stuff. Like turning firebombs into infinite barrels, altering dice, procs, and a lot of other stuff odd stuff.

The lua can also be edited to make almost all rats drop items like grims, tomes, dice, health, etc. Although on some of the longer levels you do risk a "too many items" crash. My favorite pointless edit was the enemy speed and scale. Super fast rat sized enemies was entertaining.

You could certainly get banned. But I doubt it.

When it comes to cheating people have a lot of different views on it. Sane people only care if it directly involves them such as when you are playing with someone who is actively hacking or playing against someone who is. Crazy people however despise people who cheat or hack in entirely single-player games or in a way that the think devalues what they had to do for the same gear. In a multiplayer game exploiting or hacking for better gear really only matters if it is something that would be impossible for you to have otherwise.

Dark Souls 1 was a great example of this. You had mules running around with full Havels in the undead burg. However while they cheated to get it they were not doing anything that was impossible. You could absolutely be SL 10 and beat the game just to run back to the burg and fuck everyone with your great gear. It's impossible to tell the difference unless they were chugging divine blessings. Even then if they had 99 blessings though that was still technically possible within the game.

So you have this game where all the rolls are random along with the traits. If you see someone who is rank 15 with all oranges and a bunch of hats he might be a hacker but it's still entirely possible he got those items by sheer luck. It really shouldn't matter unless they are actively cheating in the game you are playing with them. Because you can't know whether they got those items through cheating or not and if it was through cheating there is nothing to say they couldn't have gotten them without it.

So just to be clear random rats are spawning around corners where you can't see them right? Because constantly I am clearing a corner and turn around to find a rat coming at me from that direction to get a cheap hit in despite there being nowhere for it to spawn in. And twice so far i've scanned an area while sort of behind a wall and by the time I completed the 360 several rats were there.

Ok, I need someone elses opinion.
Whenever I'm in a game with a bright wizards and some weightwatchers, they simply die whenever fighting more than 5 generic rats. Even on hard.
As hammer kruber, I can fight off an entire horde on my own aslong as someone is guarding my back, and even if not I stand a good chance. When a special shows up, I can shotgun/handgun it, unless I'm fighting a horde of course.

Are those people shitters? I played some bright wizard, her sword seemed to have great cleave and a decent push. Not sure about waywatcher, but I looked at her weapons and played around in the lobby some and they seemed to be pretty fit for fighting.

Basically, is it wrong of me to expect waywatchers and bright wizards to actually be able to fight? Witchhunters and dorfs usually do well enough on their own and don't get hit. Is it a class thing or is it a skill thing?

Personal experience most WW and BW I encounter are too focus on range attacks and by the time they switch to melee when some skaven slips by and get close it's already to late and taken damage.
