He needs to be able to fight at long range because that's how the game plays, he is slow and has no real way to close the distance fast. The game is very spammy and if he has to get close with even less health he is unplayable.

Shotting slower just means it's easier to duck behind a corner. Take Zenyatta, perfect accuracy and can shoot 3 times a second, recoil would ruin him.

The flashbang would not be able to hit tracer, it would be used only for slower characters.

The Flashbang would be able to hit her, McCree would just actually need to hit her, not you throw it in her general direction and oneshot her. Ask Hanzo how to do it. Also Tracer would be the only one actually capable of juking it anyway, slower characters means pretty much everybody else

You absolutely cannot do all three. Lowering HP would be fine, but adding recoil and making flashbang's small radius even smaller would make him unplayable.

You can't slow down his shooting, that's what makes him usable. If there wasn't healing in the game slowing down the shooting would be fine, but there is a lot of healing in the game as well as shields, so that is not something you can do.

It's a team based shooter that is very spammy, he needs to be able to shoot fast and well to be usable. He already dies very easily being very slow with no defensives or escapes, but just lowering his health would be enough.

Your suggestions are just about gutting the character completely, and that's bad design.

Not really, I think we're at a disagreement because you and I have different ideas for the magnitude of these nerfs. I'm not saying add a CSGO Desert Eagle's recoil on his revolver, or make it so you have to bonk them on the head with the flashbang to stun them. I also only want a 25 HP nerf.

I'm thinking these nerfs would all be small, with the recoil being the most impactful, and that would only be so that he cannot spam his revolver with laser accuracy. I don't think you realize how strong his revolver is in terms of damage, speed and accuracy.

These things should be fine for him, it'll slow him down a bit, make it so that you have a decent chance of outplaying him if you get close and force him to stay back a bit more.

The good dev team massacred TF2 pros, they were around 1-20 in games, a player named LBC was shitstomping them and was "on fire"(kicking ass) for around 70% of each match

This, paired with what I heard on Chanman's podcast leads me to believe that this game is nothing like TF2 except for the obvious things they stole from it. It seems like they made it so all FPS type of players have a hero to play and even people from Quake and CS seem to find heroes they enjoy playing.

it feels fairly crisp to me, the basic movement/mechanics doesn't feel awkward or janky.

good aim is very important in this game. weapons like Pharah's rocket launcher and Junkrat's grenade launcher do most on their damage on direct hits, not splash. most weapons in the game can headshot which can be 1-hit kills against the weaker heroes when playing McCree or Widowmaker. teamwork and positioning is definitely very important but individual skill is emphasized. a good Tracer, McCree, or Widowmaker can really disrupt an entire team alone.

it's too early to say for the competitive scene. the game can be a bit hard to watch at times, some streamers have been mentioning toning down the visual noise in their feedback. if you're interested, watch a_seagull when he's on (he just went offline). he's a top TF2 soldier that regularly runs with a premade of other TF2 pros and usually plays against Blizzard's QA team and they're looking to play against another premade of old Quake players soon. he analyzes a lot of the game/mechanics as it's happening so it should be fairly informative, too.
