Yes. It's a crutch shitter weapon for soulsbabbies. AR is a lie since it doesn't take attack modifiers into account, other weapons outclass it in many respects. The Saw Cleaver's moveset is godly, the Saw Spear is just as fast and serrated in both modes (meaning it does extra damage to beasts), the Hunter's Axe has better range than Ludwig's and R2 spin2win.

You can effectively make any weapon on par with Ludwig's scaling using Heavy Abyssals from the Chalice Dungeons, meaning not only can Strength weapons with worse scaling get better scaling, but Skill weapons can be converted to Strength. 50str/25skl master race.

If you have The Old Hunters, swap LHB for the Holy Moonlight Sword. It's basically Ludwig's OG weapon with better stats, moveset, style and it has Arcane scaling laser beams to boot.

Why is the Valley of Defilement so awful holy shit. Enemies blocking your path everywhere, fire sticks that do horrendous damage. It's dreadful all around.
Is it me or is NG+ in DeS way harder than in the others? I never had a problem in the others, but here it seems like it's way easier to die in NG+, whereas in regular NG you can take quite an amount of punishment.

I loved that being Bloodtinge builds made killing alien bosses a joke. Just point your gun at their head and fire. Some of them could be killed with only a few bullets.

I did this and I wanted to create the most OP character possible. I got to 99 everything and even wanted unlimited Blood Rocks too so I went through all the Chalice Dungeons to get one, meaning I essentially played through the game without any patches like how it was on release. Holy fuck was the Defiled Amygdala a glitchy piece of shit and god fucking damn those loading screens are literal hell. Also, limited Blood Vial storage, its almost like a different game

The game can be super atmospheric at parts, and Latria and VoD really set the tone they should have. Boletaria too, it feels like an abandoned kingdom. It feels really empty.

But the game also has its annoying bits. Like the rolling skellingtons from 4-1. My problem with VoD (specifically act 1, the rest is easy) is how cramped and filled with enemies it is. The ones with a flaming stick hit like a truck too, so it can take ages to get through it. It's pretty frustrating.

Shrine of Storms is pretty cool looking, and while I wasn't particularly fond of the enemies the bosses are really cool and imaginative. I always liked Storm King for the sheer scale of the demon and using the Storm Ruler with that awesome special effect.

Have you never played DS1? The heaviest armor in the game was so good it's basically considered a way of cheesing the game. I'm not sure about now but for a good while the speedrun of the game dealt with Nito by wearing stone giant's armor and facetanking everything while you carved up his ballsack.
