It's just so stressful trying to find the spheres you missed while also going faster at a pace that can throw off the timing of your turns.

I've always attempted to win at one when given the chance, but I never beat a single blue sphere mini game. Don't feel very motivated to keep trying past my playthrough either.

They were the best by virtue of being beatable on your first try and not controlling like ass. It's not so much that Blue Sphere is much better than the others, but that the other special stages are much worse.

I'm ashamed that this was my last one to beat. It's so simple, but it requires actual perfection. I can see why they dropped it from S3&K; even the hardest ones there usually had a place to correct and go back if you missed a jump.

It is possible to do it in reverse which is A LOT easier since you have more reaction time when the music speeds up.

so what do you get from these stages? It never says anything, just gives me a token. So I always just ignore blue spheres and play chase the UFO because it's more fun and I know how the reward works.

This one? And yeah, half of them are brought back (sometimes with small edits) from 3&K while the other half are completely new. It's weird how they did that since after you beat all of them you unlock a Blue Spheres randomizer which has a "Mania Mode" that adds majenta-colored spheres which are teleporters & green spheres you need to grab twice to win showing off how they could've all been original.

Turn and jump into rick cluster. It's not all that hard to figure out. Timing is the hardest part.

You can turn and jump into the middle at any point from the outside, at which point you can freely collect the rings and jump back outside onto the next blue sphere. Just time your jump/turn correctly.

While I think getting more of them as a final reward is pretty stupid I like the added mechanics, they're neat & really add onto what's already there in a interesting way. The reward for doing all of them should've been Hyper Sonic or at least max control options.
