I like the bloodborne version, the transformation is cool and it packs quite a punch. The ranged attack is also pretty good, helped me alot against chalice amigdala.

It's so good in BB specifically because of three way scaling. It's the single strongest weapon in the late game. Although I think it still needs an off-shape nourishing from Amy for the absolute best gem setup.

BB has the best designed MLGS but DS1 has the most functional, because of godlike special attacks and fast swing speed it was possible to make a build around that thing alone and it was among the most powerful when it came to stat investment/power ratio.
From the rest, DS3's has bad beams but is really fucking good for trading thanks to special thrust and still only needs 40 int to work on full power, DeS one is a piece of shit but not as much of a piece of shit as DS2 one which was overnerfed into oblivion and now just a greatsword with a fucking UGS moveset.

Chikage, as needlessly edgy as it is, gets the highest AR with a faster moveset. In terms of dps it cannot be beaten. MLGS is god-tier though.

Only half of chinkage's attacks scale with BLT and you're fucked if the enemy is resistant to it, because there's no synergy between the weapon's two modes.
Meanwhile most stuff in chalice dungeons is weak to ARC, and thanks to its scaling and nourishing gems, you can use HMS untricked too, and both of its movesets are pretty good.
I guess it might not be as good in meta pvp levels, but who cares about that.

Demon's Souls made the most sense. It is a glass sword, it should be relatively light and you should see through it. Kinda wish they gave the same love to the holy spear feom DeS.

The Demon's Souls iteration of the MLGS certainly looks like it's made of light. The blade's almost transparent and a light blue colour - you can see right through it.

DeS version was pure magic light, acted as a light source that illuminated the surroundings, and got brighter with each attack.

Dark Souls 1 and 3 used the brightening gimmick for each attack.

BB is literally a glowing swirl of cosmic energy when transformed into the Holy Moonlight and is the brightest version short of Armored Core's literal energy weapon.

Not really, DeS just looks like a long and thin blade cased in light blue glass.
And just because it lights up in 1 and 3 doesn't mean anything, in 2 it had a constantly glow to it, that still doesn't make it look like its made of light.
Also with BB, I only know what the general one looked like since I haven't played the game myself, just googled the sword.

What are you talking about? Both the large sword of moonlight and holy sword of moonlight have an inherent glow.
In DeS it's extremely noticeable in 3-1, 4-2, and 5-2 because blue light is cast as well instead of only the player's lamp.
BB is on all the time.
They just get brighter as you swing and do the thrust and ranged attacks.
