So, I have strong feelings about cheating. You're free to do it for your single player game, but you aren't playing the game anymore. You're playing something entirely different.

Like if someone just max their character max level, they might respond with, "Oh he would have eventually gotten to that level anyway", is that acceptable? If they just magically make an item for crafting that's rare or make a program that 'grinds' for them, is that acceptable just because 'eventually' they would have gotten it?
>>
>>390029225
What i find more interesting is cheating in a speedrun.

>>390029934
This feels even more sad, because in the end you actually should try to prove it to yourself and not anyone else.

Its funny as hell man,I mean its pretty fucking obvious what he is doing and yet he thinks he can fool the autistic community that has finished the game a million times.

Is it fun to cheat?
>>
>>390029225
Because they are shit and want people to think they are cool because they inflate their winrate
>>
>>390029913
They are only ruining the game for themselves
>>
I cheat. I usual make it feel as if I'm losing only to turn the tide and grind the salt.
>>
Because they're tired of being a shitter and want to play with the big boys
>>
>>390029913
only people that care about achievements get mad at this. that and the people that are so obsessed with a game that they feel the need to make people play it "the right way"
it's hilarious since especially steam achievements have no value since SAM exists and few games use serverside achievements or ban people for cheating them

Not exactly cheat, but definitely take any advantage I can.

Cheating in multiplayer games makes it unfun for the rest of the people trying to play. You're literally shitting in the sandbox and laughing when people leave because they don't want to deal with you or your shit.

But that said, >>390029913 , Why? If you've already beaten the game once, what are cheating and mods gonna do beyond enhance your experience?
>>
>>390031143
It's the host's fault for not turning on no contact t b h. If contact is on, you have to comit, or else you'll get trashed.
>>
>already only 3 months until the next bastu game

Jesus it took so long for this years to be translated
>>
Cheating in single player games is fine, you're only ruining it for yourself.

Cheating in multiplayer games means you're a sociopath who cares about nothing but himself, and there's next to no chance you'll ever provide anything of value to the world so you might as well just be executed.
>>
The people with the less obvious cheats are usually just shitters who don't know how to take a loss and accept that they should improve their game. In a game with a ranking system they feel like their rank is lower than where it "should" be, so they'll cheat to get up to where they're 'supposed' to be and then they'll turn off the cheats and play just as well as everyone else at that level, honest, they mean it this time (even though they've went through three accounts already). The people with obvious spinbots/god mode stuff are just trolling for reactions.
>>
>>390032473
>>390032034
Okay this is where i want to head, but are they truly sociopaths, or more like addicts?
>>
>>390032729

I think they're sociopaths, since they're willing to enter into a game with other people and ruin it for everyone else, because only their fun matters. Of course I more think about the ones that have 1 shot aimbots through walls that completely shut down games, I suppose some of the ones who just lightly cheat can be ignorant addicts (but are still deep down only in it for themselves.)
>>
>>390032729
>are they truly sociopaths, or more like addicts?
Trying to diagnose people with mental disorders is usually a waste of time in my experience. A lot of them are just shitheads who can't take the L and want to feel better at a game than they actually are. Think of That Kid who would get the obviously fake, obnoxiously overpowered knockoff Yugioh cards and try to pass them off as real because he couldn't figure out how to build a decent deck to save his life.

someone please post those forum screencaps of kiddies getting mad that they got banned for cheating that shit always cracks me up
>>
Only time cheating is acceptable is if they're in-game cheat codes.

Too bad nobody implements them anymore.
>>
>>390033187
Why would they?
These are huge games with million people working on them, compartmentalized i might add so nobody even knows what they are working on.
Some write code, some do art, other people assemble the thing and you have AAA title.
>>
>>390033286
Because it's fun?
I don't see how your "explanation" is relevant though.

>why would they implement achievements when there are millions (lol) of people working on them and nobody knows who's working on what
Really boggles the mind, doesn't it?
>>
i am such an embecile i dunno how to cheat in most games so no loll

It will cost them more time.
Time means people will need to get paid.
NO company wants to pay overtime for some cheats that few people will use.

>>390029913
I think the only games worth cheating in would be the pre gta5 gta games and games that you've already completed so you don't give a shit abd mods (if you mods cheating) because some games were simply made for mods (especially if they were made by Bethesda)
>>
>>390029225
I don't see any reason to cheat in comp and I think people should be severely punished for it.

Why people do it? Their fragile ego can't handle losing, they always want to win and against real people.
>>
>>390034241
Kinda right, because they copy someone else's method to win.
>>
>>390033486
>GTA from at least Vice City and up
>money cheat
>GTA V
>no money cheat because of their shitty stock system

I'm mostly pissed about this because I'm not spending over $130 local money to play GTA 5 and my pirated copy won't let me use the offline stocks at all so I can't 100% the game which is why I wanted the money cheat in the first place.
>>
i've used exploits but not competitively

if the game is letting me throw 3 grenades per second indefinitely, i think that's hilarious and i'm going to stream them down a stairwell like a waterfall and wait to hear the complaints about it
and then i will teach them how to do the exploit too
