So, I have strong feelings about cheating. You're free to do it for your single player game, but you aren't playing the game anymore. You're playing something entirely different.

Like if someone just max their character max level, they might respond with, "Oh he would have eventually gotten to that level anyway", is that acceptable? If they just magically make an item for crafting that's rare or make a program that 'grinds' for them, is that acceptable just because 'eventually' they would have gotten it?

Cheating in multiplayer games makes it unfun for the rest of the people trying to play. You're literally shitting in the sandbox and laughing when people leave because they don't want to deal with you or your shit.

Cheating in single player games is fine, you're only ruining it for yourself.

Cheating in multiplayer games means you're a sociopath who cares about nothing but himself, and there's next to no chance you'll ever provide anything of value to the world so you might as well just be executed.

The people with the less obvious cheats are usually just shitters who don't know how to take a loss and accept that they should improve their game. In a game with a ranking system they feel like their rank is lower than where it "should" be, so they'll cheat to get up to where they're 'supposed' to be and then they'll turn off the cheats and play just as well as everyone else at that level, honest, they mean it this time (even though they've went through three accounts already). The people with obvious spinbots/god mode stuff are just trolling for reactions.

I think they're sociopaths, since they're willing to enter into a game with other people and ruin it for everyone else, because only their fun matters. Of course I more think about the ones that have 1 shot aimbots through walls that completely shut down games, I suppose some of the ones who just lightly cheat can be ignorant addicts (but are still deep down only in it for themselves.)

Trying to diagnose people with mental disorders is usually a waste of time in my experience. A lot of them are just shitheads who can't take the L and want to feel better at a game than they actually are. Think of That Kid who would get the obviously fake, obnoxiously overpowered knockoff Yugioh cards and try to pass them off as real because he couldn't figure out how to build a decent deck to save his life.

I'm mostly pissed about this because I'm not spending over $130 local money to play GTA 5 and my pirated copy won't let me use the offline stocks at all so I can't 100% the game which is why I wanted the money cheat in the first place.

i've used exploits but not competitively

if the game is letting me throw 3 grenades per second indefinitely, i think that's hilarious and i'm going to stream them down a stairwell like a waterfall and wait to hear the complaints about it
and then i will teach them how to do the exploit too
