most of /v/ hasn't read a book since high school (assuming they've even left high school). most of /v/ doesn't have any hobbies through which they would even encounter good writing. therefore for most of /v/, "good writing" involves a story where they don't have to ignore it in order to enjoy the game.

most of /v/ think "good writing" and "good prose" are the same thing, and use them interchangeably. hell, i've seen multiple posts about how prose doesn't even matter.
