The MP5 honestly felt a little weak, but since it was an SMG, it made sense. Changing it to an assault rifle, without changing the damage, makes no sense.

It feels lazy and shitty. At least in HL2 they had the mp7 and the combine assault rifle as two different weapons with different damage values.
