I just enjoy the playstyle of a melee warrior in vast majority of games i play. I'm not denying that magic is OP in KH games because obviously it is, but i just don't really care, i don't need to spam thunder to clear rooms, i enjoy just dashing in and going ham on their face with a keyblade.

It's not just one extra cast. In KH1 MP is the one and only magic stat, so it also determines the power of your spells. It gets pretty ridiculous at higher levels.

There is no magic power stat so total MP also works as power. More MP means harder hitting magic. It's so OP that there are very limited ways to raise it, unlike every other stat.
