For those of you that have all 7 emeralds, what mod did you use

Go for blue orbs until you get mach 2, when you get that the UFO stops gaining distance on you so you can focus on getting some orbs + rings and close the distance.

It really is not that hard.

I got it in reverse already, get fucking good.

Did anyone manage to get the 6th in reverse?

What I did is focus on getting rings during the first lap, It's easier to time the jumps when you're not going fast and it's not as if the blue spheres you get carry over when you get the mach pick up.

Special Stage 5 is really easy as long as you make your primary focus getting to mach 2 before the path splits. That way you can get to mach 3 as soon as possible with the mach up capsule. From there, catching the UFO is trivial. See webm

Sick and tired of people posting this shit. This along with Titanic Monarch. People bitching about getting game overs and time outs. I know it looks like a little baby game because it has bright colors and anthropomorphic animals, but it is a game that has a large skill ceiling. If you want some fucking mario shit that is basically going to fucking play itself, then go fucking play mario.

For fucks sake. I barely even ever have a problem with any of the special stages in this game. They're easy compared to the Sonic 2 half pipe stages and the super emerald blue stages.

Mach 2 is your absolute top priority. Get rings where you can, but always prioritize blue spheres.

For me I only get rings once I hit mach 2 like you can see in >>389967994. If you time it so you hit mach 2 where I did, there's plenty of rings to focus on, and you don't need to touch any spheres because you'll be able to get to mach 3 with the mach up capsule and any spheres you collect between mach 2 and mach 3 won't count for anything.
I honestly think this is the "intended" way of doing the level fast since there are just enough blue spheres to get to mach 2 right before the capsule, but I think what happens is people see their ring counter running down and they panic and focus on rings, putting more distance between themselves and the UFO.
