I take it you're more fond of the different skill choices, over Predator styles? I don't see why you wouldn't like both if you liked one of them though.

You will want to look up a certain type of bullet designed for a certain Aragami, but otherwise melee is plenty OP on it's own. You're fine to skip bullets entirely if you'd like.

I noticed the damage is higher, but the actual physical combat seems to work out more in my favor, doesn't seem to be 10 times less damage than guns were in GER.

Everything about making weapons in that game sapped any fun from the endgame.

I'm really only playing it for the story right now, since it's pretty much dead I don't think I'll be doing much end game.

My gun has always killed things faster than my spear, and I dislike the fact that I only use melee to gather OP for bullets.
Are spears just shit, or are blast guns just too good?

Fair enough. They're about the same quality story though, I don't see why you'd only dislike one. Even the gameplay differences aren't really big enough for that.

With good bullets, blast guns will always be more powerful. I think Snipers are the OP Go To Gun in Resurrection though.

In endgame Melee weapons also reach stupidly high levels of damage, more so in Rage Burst.
Hammer for example, can eventually hit max damage (Don't recall the exact number, but it's a bunch of 9's.) in one delayed boost slam that's easy to land. It can also consistently hit 24000-40000 with certain fast hitting skills, depending on which body part you're hitting of course. That being said, Guns will also still be a lot easier than fighting the monster with melee. Unless you use the Ballerina Hammer attack anyway.

What, no. Removal of predator styles was the biggest mistake ever. Getting rid of half the move set and replacing it with one overused move of the players choice is NOT how you make a game better.

It makes the gameplay stale as you are more invested in using one move over the others. It doesn't help that your move set is half as big.

Thread is basically dead at this point, but I'll at least correct you. Rage Burst was made after Resurrection.
The people who made those games are great developers, that's why Resurrection is a lot more balanced.

Pretty sure they were added so it'd have it's own version of Blood Arts/Styles, or at least so that something was there in it's place. Seeing as how they have no reason to be able to use those in the first game.
Personally I hope GE3 is closer to Resurrection.
