today it took me two solid hours of running from the boruto of the boreal valley bonfire, killing two knights, fighting dancer and dying, interspersed with large amounts of profanity, to beat dancer

I went for some sort of retarded indecisive sorcery/dex hybrid build, because I wanted to check out magic. Unfortunately it means that in any one encounter there's like 20 levels I'm barely using because I'm throwing spells or swinging swords, but rarely both. Also are all sorceries except great heavy soul arrow supposed to suck shit? I tried out stuff like farron hail, farron dart, crystal hail, deep dregs, but they cost like a motherfucker and deal shit damage. Dark edge and soul greatsword are okay, but barely better than my normal melee (I have about 30 dex and int).

Sorcery sucks ass until late game, Pyro is basically good all the time, and OMGWTFOP when you get chaos stuff and good synergies going.

But they likely won't. The general threads for Dark Souls and Bloodborne are terrible but for different reasons. Bloodborne has vindictive idiots who will post your psn i.d everywhere if you violate the unspoken code of conduct of their fight clubs or co-ops or if you are too helpful to people. /dsg/ will just hate jerk over ds2 and ds3 and you're only allowed to hate on the games.
