PCIe, you already have a videocard in one, just remove it and put a new one in the same slot.
Those cards dont need lots of power to work, the GT 1030 uses even less power than the GT 710 because its years newer.
GTX 1050Ti uses 74w or less so it will work in any computer a PCIe x16 slot can power it with no problems.

You're right about the bottleneck but that doesn't make it a good idea to buy that shit tier trash, especially considering you're getting much less than half the performance for over half the cost of the 1050 Ti, not to mention that the comparison gets worse if you count used cards. ($70 vs. $130)

It's not about elitism and I get that saving up that extra cash takes time and effort that you may not think is worth it, but if you but shit "upgrades" that are a bad value, you'll have wasted a lot of the money you spent, in the case of the 1030 literally every dollar is wasted since you can over double the effectiveness.

Also, the bottlenecking is going to occur with both cards, so paying less now for shitty performance now and in the future, when you can invest a bit more for better value is a much better idea.

Also for the CPU and mobo combo, jump on a cheap, older Intel chipset and get a G3258 or i3 CPU. Again, you'll pay more than the cheapest options available but the value for your money blows the fucking water out of anything suggested here. I own a PS4 in addition to my PC, and it's great to be able to play the games I love with stunning graphics at 60 FPS as well as play some pretty good exclusives like Persona 5 and Yakuza on my PS4, but not everyone is into weeb games which dominate the PS4 exclusive market and performance both in multiplats and in exclusives is painful in comparison to what I get on my PC.

Unlike most cards that have different VRAM versions like the RX 480 4GB and 8GB, the GTX 1060 3GB is actually a cut down card in terms of performance in addition to the less VRAM, so if you can you should get the 6GB for better value on the dollar for not much more money
