Yes, britbong stated fairly obvious critiques like not having the arenas part of worlds and instead just seperate space stations, his counter argument was just that he liked being able to jump straight to it, which is fair enough but if these games catered to speedrunners they would just become devoid of any charm they once had.

I'm a "casual speedrunner." I've never committed towards breaking a world record, but I learn how to beat games fast.

>Play through a game the first time completely on my own
>After beating the game, I go and watch the world record speedrun of it to be amazed at how fast the game could possibly be beaten
>Play through the game a second time utilizing what I've observed in the speedrun and my familiarity of the game already
>If the game has a speedrun achievement, this is the goal of my second playthrough

I can beat Ico in under two hours, I can beat Brave Fencer Musashi in about four hours, and I can beat a bunch of 2D sidescroller games in a reasonably fast amount of time.

I love being a speedrunner guys...
