Does anyone else actually love it when video games make fun of their fans?
grow some balls, pussy

depends. if it's sheltered left wing snowflakes who hate gamers and video games talking down on us then no.
>AN ANIME FAN ON PROM NIGHT
for example

So something like Sonic's cartoon just shits on their fans?
>>389848438
yeah that's a bit better but it still includes left wing ideology which should be excluded from all forms of media and the West entirely at this point

>supposed to be a parody
>is 100% right about everything
>>389848274
It depends on the context. Some people deserve it, others don't.
Like any parody it's only effective when it's done in a tongue-in-cheek manner. Any other way just feels like the creator has a vendetta against what it's parodying

Well, yeah, it gets stupid when the writers bring politics into it.
I'm mostly referring to when they make fun of overly obsessed fans in general, including anyone who thinks their favorite IP should revolve around their personal tastes.
Of course, this sort of thing should be done in moderation. The devs shouldn't make fun of people for giving constructive criticism, for example.

What games do this?
Sure why not. It honestly feels more genuine than that sappy "and you" shit in the credits you dorks love so much.
Only if its done jokingly and isn't coming from some actual spite from the writers or developers
