Psychic was the strongest attacking type in gen 1, with Exeggcutor being used on most serious teams and everyone and their mum carried Blizzard. Even fucking Tauros used Blizzard. Venu was still the most viable out of the gen 1 starters within red/blue but he definitively had his own set of issues.
