Why does paper mario intentionally waste your time like it's desperate to lengthen the game? THat fucking general bobomb side quest, jumping on that sleeping bobomb 50 times, that one cave man in super paper mario that forces you to type in "I'm sorry" or something like that 100 times. That fucking world that gets destroyed in SPM where everything is just white with black lines that you have to just run right for 5 minutes.

Fucking hell, I like the games, but I'll never replay them because I don't want my time wasted

I agree that the bobomb hunt is annoying to go through, but it's pretty much just a set up for a joke, and it doesn't take too long if you use the warp pipes. Same with trying to wake him up.

I don't remember the "i'm sorry" thing in SPM.

Walking through the destroyed world in SPM was to give the player a sense of urgency and to show how big of a threat the black hole actually was.

You wanna know what was made to intentionally waste your time though? Having to walk the Twilight Trail 5 times. Having to traverse Keelhaul Key 4 times. The room in the X-Naut base with the pipes and the moving platforms.

Paper Mario is guilty of wasting your time, but there are much less justified examples than what you mentioned.
