I would say so. I've been friends with some dudes for a little over 5 years and I met them from a clan. It helps me keep in touch with my hometown friends now that I'm in college

>social hobby
No. The only social thing I do is talk with some friends.
Gamer cringe thread?
No. I barely have any friends and none of them like the same games as me.

nah, not really
in my late teens i used to play a lot of halo with my buddies but our group disintegrated when college started
i have new friends now that i occasionally playleague of legendswith but for the most part none of my friends like the same types of games that i do
most of what i play is single player anyways

I've played fighting games for a while and met cool people through local events.

Markiplier really is an inspirational guy

Quite the opposite. I play to get away from humans and not only do I get bored of competitive games after 20 something hours, i also highly dislike to share my gaming time in co-op.
