After watching that video I decided to pony up and finish DaS2 for the first time, with SotFS, and fuck if I didn't enjoy it. Much better than DaS3 at least.

Im playing through it right now for the first time. I played through both DeS and DaS first and i absolutely hated my first hours with DaS2. I could not stand it, and i was close to quitting. As i've played more of it it's become more bearable, but jesus christ, anybody who disagrees with the fact that this game is cheap as fuck by throwing gangs of enemies at you relentlessly is a fucking idiot. This is a fact. I really like the setting, but it bugs me that it's not interconnected. It's just jarring to take a short walk down a hall only to find you're in a completely different setting with completely different weather and time of day. I know that DaS did it to a degree, but this is ridiculous. I watched both matt and hbomer's critiques before playing the game, qnd while hbomber has some good points, matt is undoubtedly right. As a dark souls sequel, it takes too many steps back.

Also, i think hbomer's critique is good, despite him being an absolute cunt.
