This is how I can tell you're an amateur at both porn and videogames.
DoA has AMAZING collisions and physics, that goes from breasts to hair, most porn artists are still stuck with SFM garbage, which means atrocious collisions, bad lighting, low poli models and whatever else, let alone textures worse than DoA, which are already pretty mediocre.
The only way porn can actually compete on DoA in terms of graphical fidelity is by using Blender, but Blender is still in its infancy and it's mostly used as a poser tool, people still haven't figured out how to use blender for proper animations despite it looking immensely better than SFM.
Now, there is a middle ground in all of this, which is Honey Select/Studio, which gives you fairly high policount on bodies, decent textures, decent lighting and an alright but clunky as fuck poser and a decent preset template of position, HS catch is that you have no collisions whatsoever, harmonium dicks and no proper physics outside of hair and boobs, which are so so, not to mention, no deformations either, so forget proper pussies or even stuff like stomach bulges.

Every choice does something better than the other, but lacks something the other does, as we are now, we're in a hellish limbo where none of the choices are even remotely optimal.

X3 was a shoestring budget toss-off that KT greenlit for the following reasons:

-Fans were asking for the next installment, reasonably expecting that it would continue the series' trend of adding more content, perhaps something approaching the ambitions in pic related.
-It was an easy, cheap game to make. They reused the X2 assets and cut areas and content due to budget restraints. They maintained the X2 limit of 9 girls on the excuse that with fewer areas and only 2 girls per area, many girls would be unavailable in every time slot, which would make it difficult to build relationships which is the point of the game.
-They fully intended to whore out the dlc for real cash like Last Round. The first dlc set had one free suit, and one paid (the Clam). However, Jap fans were so disappointed by the cuts to the game content that they rebelled against being fleeced for dlc. KT settled for making all dlc free if you are willing to grind enough for it, and giving a paid option (Zack Tickets), and pay-only cheats like 100% Acceptance wrapping paper.
-The game kept interest in the series going, which allowed them to keep churning out costume sets for LR while they worked on other projects and delayed DOA6.
-Xtreme games have always been used by TN to tinker with their tech. X3 allowed them to implement butt physics, improved water/sweat and hair physics and lighting with the advanced engine.
