I love warframe to bits, but I think the damage system is hugely flawed, in terms of flavor.

There is almost never a reason to not include elemental mods in a build to get the combined damage types, which leads to every weapon having super speshul elemental effects when sometimes you just want a plain beatstick or gun that shoots regular boolits

There are exceptions, of course, but they are so few and far between that they do not alleviate the "problem".

From what I understand Raids in Destiny were completed in a few days after they are released. Additionally my friend let me play a raid and it boiled down to one guy who knew the fight barking orders at everyone in real-time. I don't have any experience with warfram raids
NOW, this is comparison to my personal experience in WoW, where raids took guilds months to clear. Not all, but most raids had at least a few sections that really tested players understanding of their role and how it pertains to the scenario.
Destiny's raids were what determined my attitude towards the game... Disappointing, I could only imagine how you would feel grinding for hours leading up to this.

They are both completely different games and both just as jew as each other. Stuff like giving you 50% "discounts" when you log into Warframe aftersome time to encourage spending money ASAP, or some ridiculously monotonous Warframe quests and the 3-day build process that comes after , or the plethora of end-game Pay-to-not-rip-out-your-hair tactics like restricting warframe/weapon slots, Forma, Potatoes and much more (all the mod upgrading, all the market hunting you must waste time on if you want to progress at any good pace without paing too much, etc). You FEEEEEL the "F"2P of Warframe.
The gameplay itself has nothing to do with Destiny. The end-goal in Warframe is to kill thousands of minions in Survival with your build to relax with friends, similar to Diablo.

Destiny is more about the Raids and PvP, none of which are played and/or nearly as good in Warframe, and the Weekly resets (getting better engrams through milestones, Nightfall, Trials of Osiris/Nine, etc). It's not as much a Diablo-feeling game as it is a MMO-oriented game like WoW/FF14, which aren't compared to Warframe for a good reason - they are nothing alike, just like Destiny.
Of course Destiny also has its jew practices with its Expansions, you get a feeling that you'll be left behind if you don't buy them as they come out, but the same can be said of any MMO, at least there isn't a monthly sub. You don't get the F2P feeling you get in Warframe.

I personally find Warframe more fun though I cannot really explain it. I haven't played much of Destiny or the sequel (mostly beta and some at a friend's house) but despite it having alright mechanics it doesn't feel very satisfying to shoot people. Then again I don't play console FPS's too often so maybe I just sucked.

The fact that on surface level the changes between Destiny and Destiny 2 aren't too deep isn't good if you ask me. You can say a lot of bad things about Warframe, most of them true but that game changes constantly for better or worse. That's what keeps me coming back to it.

Well there's still quite a lot of weapons and Archwing I guess, though you'll probably stick to one of them anyways.

Some frames can be built to play a little differently but not all and it's not gonna be a huge gamechanger and I have no clue if Mag has anything like that. Still, there can be some fun combinations with powers and weapons.

There's still quests and stuff too. They're pretty good though the plot is...divisive.
