The only thing DaS2 did better than the others is weapon and armour variety. The bosses and levels (not counting DLC) were objectively the worst in the series.

The DLCs were really good though.

Well, to be fair to /v/, this can be said for practically anything. The general public don't give a shit about the majority of things, they don't look at pre-release content or will happily gobble up loot boxes or cut content sold as DLC. As for other online discussions, it usually just hinges or bullshit like how many posts/how well known a member is. If they defend shit, all the other shitters defend it too.

It was good in concept, but it just didn't do anything for me. I liked the idea of watching somebody slowly go hollow, but she just wasn't a likable enough character for me to get invested in. Hell, Artorias in DaS1 had a slightly similar story, and that made me feel more emotion than Lucatiel's did.
