For me it's the other way around. I was always listening to K-DST when I played it in high school. When I discovered disco and funk in uni and I played SA again out of nostalgia, all I played was Master Sounds and Bounce FM.

So much better in terms of music but also gameplay experience, it fits so well, kinda felt like I missed out on a lot of awesome shit when I was younger.

It's only difficult if you're bad at flying, and considering it's the first time touching the flying controls for most people and the thing has some skittish handling, it's easy to see where the reputation comes from. Once you know how to control the thing however, the mission becomes really easy because the RC plane gun is actually incredibly powerful and the urban terrain means your target will never get far, even with the fuel bug the timer is plentiful.
