Okay Pete Hines but how do you justify the Microtransaction payment method and also the fact that an entire expansion pack for Fallout 4 is about 20 dollars which includes multiple new armors, guns, and enemy types while a single item on the Creation Club can be about 5 dollars meaning it's about a quarter of the price of an expansion pack? In fact, sum up the entire cost of what's available currently it it's about the same price as entire expansion pack of not more and yet there is not nearly the same amount of value there.

The problem is that Bethesda's definition of "free mods" is "They only cost currency", which you have to pay money for. So they're not really free.

I mean, wow, it changed my fucking life. Back then, i was a mere NEET living in my parents' basement with very little ambition. Each day was the same routine: wake up, browse chans, fap, play vidya, fap, browse chans while eating tendies, fap some more, sleep, repeat.

On a lark, I bought $100 worth of mods for Fallout 4. I couldn't have guessed what it would do to me...

Considering how it's implemented at the moment it's not. It fucked up the mod order by making it alphabetical which could really fuck up mods that need to be installed in a certain order, plus there are cases in which you cannot play while your free mods are installed after downloading one of Bethesda's sanctioned paid content. All of this plus the fact the service forces the content on your hard drive whether or not you paid for it already so it takes up disc space and you only get the actual content in the game if you buy the file type that unlocks it.

It's a Bethsda game. Even the games themselves aren't guaranteed to work without game breaking bugs and glitches and this includes it's dlc. In fact, there exists free mods that actually fix the game for Bethesda, so even having Bethesda making it doesn't guarantee that it will be "quality"
