1440p/144Hz or 4k/60Hz?

as someone who shelled out for 4k, its really not worth it
the only games it makes look noticeably better are ones with a heavy focus on close-up textures or more drawn-art style games

I play at 3440x1440 @100hz and I like it. TitanXP btw

i want a 1440p 144hz screen but there aren't many cheap options available at the moment since it's still a niche. all the current 1440p 144hz monitors are going for like £450/$500+

i just want one that's 32" (because i'm so used to gaming on a 32" tv for the last 5 years), 1440p, 144hz and has nvidia supported variable refresh since i only use nvidia gpu now after multiple bad experiences with amd.

eh, give it 2-3 more years and 4K will make more sense. I can definitely see a difference, 1440p is very soft in comparison.

That won't happen, I have a 144hz monitor and have played games for hours with 150+ fps. Games all the way down to 30fps are still playable for me.
