but those are all wrong, the goal is to kill everyone else. the consequences of death are losing everything you have acquired, because DayZ mod is permadeath. There's also hundreds of vehicles and guns to choose from, you can even build vehicles, tanks, hovercraft, amphibious APC's, boats, etc. It's just far and away a better game with a lot more to do than PUBG, and the map is much bigger too.

In PUBG when you die, you are out of the game. You cannot enter that same game again, you MUST start in a fresh game, fresh world, where everyone has a clean slate. End conditions exist, which are die or win.

In DayZ you are in a sandbox. When you die, the world keeps going, you can simply reenter the game as many times as you want over and over. When you kill people, they can simply reenter the game over and over, the only end to the game is when you get bored of being in a sandbox.

losing everything when you die and starting from scratch, which is exactly what happens in DayZ. The state of the world has literally nothing to do with it. After you die, you have NOTHING. Even if you had a base, you died, your new character is different and cannot access it, it's a NEW CHARACTER.

Shooting mechanics look fun but that seems to be just 10 percent of a match and rest looks pretty boring. I'd give it a try if it was out of early access or 15 dollars but right now, It doesn't seem to be worth it.

You can go to the same place 100 times and then find a new spot to defend from

Shooting is also extremely difficult. It's difficult to learn because of so few opportunities to actually learn how to use them.
