Why would you pay for any game that isn't multiplayer?

I don't like paying for multiplayer games, but single player games I get a lot of milage out of and have no issue buying on day 1

MP hasn't been good to me since probably UT2004. I get bored running around the same maps over and over that some spergs memorized every pixel of in an hour so you can't even have fun learning it, every game now is instakill or hero shooter streamer shit. It's just not fun.

SP I can explore, screw around, or just look at interesting views. I can listen to the music without it being some blaring ass metal shit, I don't have to listen to people who barely speak english chomp on chips or blast rap in the background.

I grew up. MP hasn't. At all. Except for co-op I avoid that shit like the plague. 7 maps over and over for months doesn't interest me at all nor does $15 for 4 more.
