You get exponentially more points the longer you survive. If you engage people early you run the risk of dying, not necessarily from your target but from other people who are around and hear the gunshots.

You can choose one of two ways to play.

1. Try to win, which means that you won't see much action for at least 20 minutes

2. Just fall where everybody else usually falls and try to get a few kills to survive

If you're doing #1 then there's a high chance that somebody's got a better setup than you and will take you down while making it into the middle. If you do #2 then you're just playing a deathmatch game, in which case there are a billion other games that would be way better for it. I'm gonna play a few games every month or so to sell crates and get my money back, otherwise I really don't see a reason to play until they add a second map and OPTIMIZE their shit
