Well for one, she is not a Mishima, which means she never really get's close to them in the only way she could, via tournament. Also remember that Jun took her son into seclusion and basically black sheep'd themselves for good reason. Jin is still Kazuya's son, and she hasn't forgoten the trails and demons her son's father faced and probably feared the same for him. All Asuka ever really knew about Jin from breif family gatherings was that he was her cousin on her father's side and that the head of the Mishima zaibatsu was taking guardianship of him after her aunt went missing. They are blood, but Jin had always distanced himself from the Kazamas and when she saw him again he had taken the reigns of the Mishima zaibatsu and confirmed to her that he was just another fucking rich kid with no regard for marality
Just like his father had been before she was born.

To be fair anon, until Harada decided that Jun couldn't resist badboy dick as canon in an anime and T3, there was very little to suggest her significance to the lore. Other than one thing, if you play Tekken 2 in Arcade as Devil, Jun is very soecifically the last sub boss with Kazuya's emotionless passion theme playing in place of where you should be fighting Kazuya. Almost as if it's her last ditch attempt to save him.

Writing a story for 30+ characters is really hard and having to force multiple fights with all of them makes it extra hard.

Thats why all fighting game stories have nonsense forced fights. Nobody can come up with so many battle scenarios that make sense.

And that still doesnt change that you would essentially just slap on a shitty VN that doesnt even truly require the fighting gameplay to work, so you're just forcing something that doesnt really add anything to the gameplay, unlike RPGs where storytelling and player choices actually do have an impact on the core gameplay.
