For me it's spamming thumb and index together as if I was jerking off.

I've found the trick to spam pressing buttons isn't in the finger or wrist, it's in the arm. Vibrate the arm at high speeds and victory will be ensured.

Pull the shoulder up, tilt the DS and hold it firm with the other hand, fingers splayed across the back to cushion the force as much as possible. Keep the shoulder firm as you vibrate your thumb at lightspeed into the button.
