The plague doctor outfit was the earliest ancestor to the Hazmat suit

No, it was an accidental design which they honestly believed would stop the plague. They thought having a narrow opening and filling the beak with herbs could stop the plague/miasma from infecting the doctor.

What do you think?

I mean, not entirely. Many diseases prevalent back then were transmissible through the air. I'm sure the beaks acted somewhat as a filter, though obviously not to a great degree. I imagine that they might have stopped 1 in 10 doctors from getting sick that otherwise would have.

it's called Kippa Mask or something for non-jews who converted.
>>389525141
>>389524945
keep in mind that the plague was spread through fleas on rats and the mask is often worn with a hat that covers the hair so it might have offerd some protection against that.
>>389524868
>>389524945
the herbs might have helped act as a filter to prevent the exchange of disease by air, much like a modern day doctors mask.
not that the plague traveled by air anyway.

Darkest Dungeon.

I heard it was intentionally designed to be unnerving and inhuman looking, it was either to "scare" the plague or if it was to stop patients from trying to grab them ,any body have any insight on this?
>>389526825
congrats, you didn't even look at the first post dumbass
>>389524868
Would have been kind of neat if so, though I suppose nobody actually knew back then that vultures actually help prevent the spread of disease as well as being resistant to it.
