Yeah I don't get it either. I started with the original Personas which weren't groundbreaking, but I had fun. I knew Persona 3 and up were different, but even going in with low expectations I still ended up disappointed.

This is one of the few JRPGs I've played and I see where the praise is coming from. It does some pretty amazing things.

Was really blown away towards the end when the city changes,and it's the same music themes but sadder, and you see all these locations you've been trough all the game. Worth it just for that
