I would recommend watching his first playthrough of Scholar of the First Sin series he made for Twitch / Youtube as his "return to Souls" series. He actually did all bosses with the exception of 2cat in the Irony King DLC.

It was a surprisingly good Dark Souls 2 series from someone who dislikes DS2 and he put a lot of effort into the playthroughs for the Youtube fans. So gleeful was I, my faith reneweth!

I would also recommend his DS3 "Darkness" series to a point but he gets ultra angry when he fights Friede and I seriously just searched the timestamp where he beat Friede because he got platinum mad at people just offering friendly advice. If you find him continously failing due to his stubbornness hilarious I would recommend it.

His current DS1 playthrough has been GOAT compared to the DS1 playthrough though. I'm often at work because he streams at eurofag hours but it's not like I miss a whole lot anyway just watching the vods. He is actually happy when playing DS1 instead of the sourpuss he is during DS3.
