There's a makeshift spear and makeshift halberd that's repeated throughout Junkertown and they sit next to her throne, I'd like if she used them as her weapons.

Preach, but that is what anon was trying to convey. "Grim dark vampire" is his (autistic) way of saying engaging and versatile. Obviously more people would be inclined to play a support if that hero has specifically entertaining mechanics.

And that's where the dog lies burried, it's MUCH easier coming up with a cool kit for killing shit than healing. They tried with Ana, being a sorta hybrid, and Symm, not healing at all but assisting indirectly. None of that really works for people that tend to play more action oriented heroes though.

I don't even think it's that hard to engineer a fun healer. It should definitely be a creature, preferably non-humanoid. That's the first step of getting people to try out another role, just make them feel badass. The rest is up to the professionals.
