Played the Dissidia NT beta. The shift in gameplay and other things killed my interest. Ninja Theory's choice to needlessly switch the jump and attack buttons gives me a bad feeling of things to come. A small thing, sure, but shit like that makes it seem like they're just changing shit just to change it regardless of whether or not it's good.

I wasn't exactly looking forward to it, but I bought a 3DS for Fire Emblem Awakening before its release because I was excited to have a new Fire Emblem that wasn't another remake. Yeah that turned out poorly.

Breath of the wild, it still hurts

New Prey. Dishonored 2 was my game of the year, so I thought dishonored in space would be cool as fuck but it's really kind of boring and has weird difficulty spikes and drops. Also nothing about it feels good, the weapons are creative but just feel bad. Kind of a letdown.

Sonic Mania

I was really excited for Tales of Zestiria. The prospect of going for a more open world sounded appealing after the featureless corridors of the Xillia games. I was really feeling the character designs and setting. I liked the combat in Graces a lot despite its flaws and was interested in seeing an evolution to that system. The composer from Legendia, Go Shiina, was returning instead of just being another totally phoned in Motoi Sakuraba soundtrack. I usually have a weak spot for flashy, gimmick transformations like the fusion one.

But then the game was just a mess in nearly every regard when I actually played it, it doesn't help I played the PS3 version. I still haven't finished it and I don't think I ever will. Berseria at least did the story stuff right which was a shocker for a Tales game, but besides running 60fps and every party member being well fleshed out, the combat was possibly even worse than Zestiria and I just want them to move away from that combat style entirely now.
