ignoring the bait, I seriously feel like Mania has the best designed levels in the series,
In Genesis Sonic I'm always getting hit or falling down holes that make me thing "damn that wasn't my fault" but in Mania 95% of the time I'm like "damn I fucked up"

I do like how it does allow you to blast threw the level fast as fuck or rewards you by exploring by giving you secret levels and unique power ups that can influence finding more thing in each level.
