First of all, the fake Ivalice was made by transforming the citizens of the real St. Ivalice to RPG characters, and plenty of them ended up as monsters, so their lives were like a living nightmare. Destroying the Totema destroyed that world, it just returned it to normal, and the elements from the real Ivalice were returned Ivalice (hence Montblanc and Nono in XII).

Mewt was really the biggest victim of all, since the Grimoire was leaching off his dreams and overwriting his memories.

Marche was right, only people who refuse to be anything but a spoiled selfish child think otherwise.

Montblanc mentions rumors that the magic crystals were created by the royal palace. Meaning either the palace was older than reality itself, or there was a time when Ivalice existed without crystals, totemas, Mewt, Remedi, Llednar, etc. and everyone knew about it.

Montblanc basically gave Marche the idea to wreck the crystals because he was pretty sure it would just send the kids back home and not destroy his own world. And the rumors were true so actually nothing was destroyed except Mewt's little empire.

The end-all argument is that any complaints about Marche's actions are a distraction from the fact that the world was essentially a venus-fly trap to the lives of all of its inhabitants. Ironically, the real potential "mass-genocide" that Marche is being accused of in this thread is what the antagonist of the game was trying to do. Marche literally saved everyone in that world.

Class design is worse, basic battle mechanics are worse, basic game flow is worse, even the game's speed is slower than FFTA somehow.
The vast majority of classes are now useless, Seeq and Gria add nothing to the core game on any level since most of their already meager classes are basically bad mixes of preexisting classes and by the time you get them they're pointless to develop because you can do everything they do better on other races already.
And this is all without considering the tremendous grind for everything, the game is a mess on any and all levels, I don't know how they even gave the green light for this pile of trash.
