Is getting an SSD drive for gaming really a good cost/benefit idea?
PUBG is loading like shit without it but I'd like to know if it noticeably improves other games as well.

Anything that is constantly loading things from the drive to the ram will benefit so MMOs, GTA, anything with giant maps etc etc. Other things will benefit as well but wont be as noticeable.
Also SSDs are cheap now. Just get a samsung 840 evo and be done with it already
It helps loading times in a lot of games, but PUBG is the only one I've played so far where it actually improves the framerate. There's some kind of weird memory leak in the game related to your drive speed and the amount of RAM you have.
Also, Windows just feels snappier. My desktop and laptop have an SSD and whenever I need to use someone's computer that doesn't have one, it feels like shit.
