Pvp is shit, 4v4 is the only competitive mode and queues are upwards of 20 mins on eu.
The PvE is also retard easy outside of current raid tier, and even then is about as easy as TBC content. People are even Pugging the Top tier raid.

Let me warn you, the compulsory MSQs can get quite tedious, it's pretty fun at higher levels, crafting and professions are apparently pretty decent too, not sure about PvP. Then there is the content content that was added in 2.1 which includes 100 mandatory MSQs that you need to do before heading to the first area of the expansion Heavensward. They give you fuck all experience as well.

The way they are talking it up, it won't be. That won't stop people from trying, though. I didn't start playing until fcob so I don't know what scob savage was like on release, that's what it's supposed to be equivalent to.

They've made some comments that most people will never get past the first phase. I suspect my middle-of-the-road static can probably clear it but it will take us several weeks (assuming people don't lose their motivation after the first couple weeks).

apparently its arguably worthwhile to do it from 60 - 61, but after that your best bet as a dps is dungeons and fates while waiting on said dungeons

Riddle of Earth is pretty much what it says on the tin. Use it during an invuln-stage so when you're taking damage, you'll refresh GL.

Like, say, Susano's big sword slam. It'll give you enough time before he reappears again.

Or in Ala Mhigo, there's a fight just before a gate that gets blown up, and you can stand over the AoE and take the hit so you can have GLIII for the start of the next boss fight.

As for tornado kick, if you know you won't be able to get hit by anything to use riddle of earth, and the boss will be gone for longer than your stacks last, you can use it.

elemental resists count as individual stats but 99.99% of the time the thing you are fighting has them all at equal values, so realistically you can just think of all spells as one element called "magic"
