What other classic Capcom fighters? Vampire at least has a cult following today still, no one remembers or played shit like Cyberbots.

It's really different. That's about what it boils down to. SF speaks for itself, and Marvel is a massive crossover. Vsav is anime as fuck, plays differently, and just got lost in the shuffle. Still has its dedicated players though.

they killed the series competitively with 2 very unneeded arcade updates.
like we got savior 1, but then savior 2 and hunter 2 a couple of months later simultaneously.

They weren't famous to begin with, it's always behind streetfighter, KOF, samurai shodown and then metal slug back during the arcade days, despite metal slug being a side scroller.
