How did Nintendo manage to fuck up emulating a console that not only has been perfectly understood and emulated for decades, but that they presumably have documentation for?
What did they fuck up?

I've never actually played an NES Mini. What's wrong with the emulation for it?

Every sound effect is delayed. Also flashing effects are missing from several games.

Are you sure that isn't just your TV? With refresh rates and latency being what they are now compared to TVs when the NES came out, that could very well be the case.

This sounds like a TV issue, what the fuck?

I never even owned one, so it's obviously not a problem with my TV .

Flashing effects are probably intentional due to seizure laws.
Sound effects sounds like a fuckup, though.

The autists at MLiG covered this pretty comprehensively, it's imperfect emulation
I hope the SNES classic is better
Because: Why should they care?
This thing could have come out with half the games broken and it still would have sold out.
