I've always wondered, why did a game as loved as Half Life 2 with an engine as moddable as the Source Engine never get a really high quality vanilla texture mod? One where the art direction is left completely intact but the textures are all made from scratch at 2K or 4K, and maybe various little graphical and lighting fixes applied here and there. I really have no idea why this fucking mod is the only real graphical overhaul that there is for this game.

It's not a pure vanilla texture mod. People want a texture pack to do what it sounds like it's going to do: change the vanilla textures to something else/something better. FF adds too much shit that isn't needed.
